To all who are contributing articles/reviews/poetry/stuff to the new FresnoGoth.com website, now would be a good time to send them to the website builder/administrator. email: admin(at)fresnogoth.com

I think he is ready to go "live" once he receives any/all current articles/reviews/poetry/stuff.

N.T.C. Fire Sep. 26th, 2005 @ 12:33 pm
fresnogoth_mav
regretfully i bare bad news. the Circle (where we currently hold Futureshockk events) caught fire last night (this morning), about 4 am or so. thankfully it was after closing and nobody was there to be hurt. i actually heard the fire engines and sirens go by, since its not too far from my house. when the news came on TV this morning at 5AM they reported it, so i got in my truck and drove by to see. i stopped to talk to a cop that was blocking the side street and he said its apparently entirely gutted inside. and a friend just called to say that he saw on the news that the entire office portion is gone, which is also connected to the bar area.

this pretty much fucks up the GLJ show at the Circle, but we will be doing whatever it takes to move the show to a backup venue.

also unfortunately, i don't know if the circle will be able to recover from this, but we wont know how bad it actually is until later on. hopefully they have good insurance. so please say a prayer for the guys at the Circle! im sure some of them will be out of a job now.

will keep you all posted,

I made a new bookmark. Also, I posted the heart one in a previous post. I will be printing the first orders sometime next week. They will be going for $3.00 each. Since I don't have my paypal set up just yet, I'd prefer cash in person, or through mail, consealed cash or money orders. I'm pretty sure I'll be heading up to the next "goffee" type of event, so if you are interested let me know now! I will only print out a few extra than the ammount that people tell me they want.

Gorey Stories show in Los Angeles Sep. 20th, 2005 @ 07:35 pm
ultrascichick
If you’re in California check out this great new production of a rarely produced Edward Gorey play called Gorey Stories at Sacred Fools Theater in Hollywood. I have two words for the Fresno Goths: Road Trip!

Edward Gorey is most famous for his drawings and artwork, about repressed sexuality and death, especially the deaths of small children. He was a big influence on the style of Tim Burton. It's dark, Edwardian type stuff. If you click on the banner, you can see some rehearsal photos that really say it all.

Please everyone, tell your friends and post this information or link wherever you want!

If you have any questions, reply to this post and I'll fill in the details.

shouldatethepie
Hey guys. I'm kind of in a bind here and need to sell my NIN tickets. I can't go so I need to sell them ASAP. I want to get $95.00 for the pair which is less then I paid and a lot less then comparable tickets are selling for online. If anyone is interested please email me at grimmstryke(at)comcast.net if you include your phone number I will call you back ASAP to make arrangements to get them to you before the concert.

To anyone and everyone,

To all you wonderfully cool, artistic, and oh so groovy ghoulies that deal with people on a daily basis. No matter what you do or where you are at...remember this...

KARMA can be a real B*TCH! Treat everyone with kindness and or respect. If you don't it can come back at ya 3 fold.

I only bring this up because lately I have been having to meet that challenge with customers at The "Evil M" aka Macys.

Here is hoping that all of you are doing well. Much LOVE and RESPECT!

Little dated now, but fun nevertheless. Barely was able to get them off of Shiloh's camera. Best part was that Tarrie B totally approached us at the show, before it started, cause she spotted Shiloh and I at a store earlier, but missed up to say hi. Fun after party too, but no photos of that cause it was too much fun. Blake's was a fun venue, haven't been to a basement show for a long while. Soo woo ya, enjoy!

drama is in the air Sep. 13th, 2005 @ 11:10 am

Big drama in the MySpace.com world too. It seems that Intermix (MySpace owners) have become uphappy with the $580 million dollar deal from the evil empire (News Corp). They filed a lawsuit last week to stop the deal. I guess the 17 million MySpace users are worth the bloodsucking corporate vampire battle that is soon to come.

I'm really confused.

So, I don't live in Fresno anymore. But while I was there, I participated in Fresnogoth events, and I really enjoyed them. One thing that constantly baffles me though is the hatred between members. It's probably not something that will ever be helped, because people have their own histories and their own issues etc. But here I am, in Washington now, compiling a piece about the good stuff in Fresno, and I'm trying to include Fresnogoth as one of those things that brings diversity to the valley. Then stuff like this pops up:

http://www.vampireposers.com/boards/modules/myalbum/viewcat.php?uid=20

Two people from this community were slandered on that site by, what looks to be, another person in this same community. I want to point out that I don't hold fresnogoth_mav or anyone else in charge responsible for this sort of stupid crap. I simply want to point out to anyone in this community who actually cares to see it last that posting these sorts of things is only going ruin it. But, then again, if you don't care: Step away and leave it already. You're not helping anything.

Drama seems to be in the air lately. Everyone has their own problems or whatever with people. I've sure had my share. But you learn to go on and forget the people. Because you don't really want their frienship anyways do you? So what is the point of going on about it? Well, I'm here to warn everyone in the fresno goth LJ/and scene of certain people. Certain people that think they can try to make fun of you and never be found out. WELL KELLY, I know what you did. You cannot lie. I just want everyone to be aware of this person because she is crazy. If you don't agree with me that is fine, I just had to let others know that this could happen to you.

Delete this if you must, but I thought that most of us had grown up and got past these sort of attacks. But I guess not.

P.S.
DONT LET DRAMA RUN YOUR LIFE.

Ugh i finally got around to loading the Pics from Disneyland. It was pretty fun. It was a bit hot and there were lots of people in layers of fabric.. We laughed our asses off at the people who didnt know what the hell was going on.. It was pretty neat knowing we were the majority! Next year we should plan a caravan to head down and represent the Fresno/ valley Peeps!

Me & James, Brynin (10) and Monte (6) It was my lil sons birthday what a lucky lil shit...haha. He actually went on Space Mt..They added More lights in the nite sky.. and cheezy music. They are bringing back the submarine and dedicating to Nemo. ( I have never been on it).

Tonight was my last Futureshokk, and I really wanted to thank all my uber-groovy and uber-freaky fellow FAGs for making it so awesome. Wednesday I'm moving down south to Loma Linda. Even though I'm sure I'll find some interesting and entertaining goth clubs to shake my booty at down there, I'll miss hanging with you guys very much.

One request...next FS, play "Dancing With Myself" and think of me up on stage, flailing my hair around and laughing like I always do after a few drinks.

Thanks for the good times, everyone! I'll be in touch.
